Learning at the next level.
As part of our mission to reduce death and disability from cardiovascular emergencies, ECC is continuously updating our course materials based on the latest science from the American Heart Association. Thus, you can then put the latest science into practice.
We’re also always working to update how this vital knowledge is taught. And, the better you learn the science, the better you can apply it to save lives. We’ve conducted extensive research and educational testing which has led not only to more effective new classroom teaching methods, but a significant expansion to our eLearning choices.
Learning for today’s lifestyle.
Instructors continue to struggle with time constraints, space limitations, and the need to provide lifesaving training to more people more efficiently.
Meanwhile, studies have shown that some people actually learn better in a non-traditional setting. That’s an important consideration, because better learning can result in more lives saved.
ECC has responded to these modern realities with a major commitment to offering the most appropriate and effective training for people with different learning styles, as well as challenging schedules and workloads. eLearning has been used with great success by many different groups across the United States and around the world, and offers many benefits to instructors, students, and organizations.
Our new eLearning platform makes lifesaving knowledge more accessible than ever.
Learning now on our website.
ECC’s expanded eLearning platform is launching several courses, designed to meet the needs of both healthcare and lay providers who need to keep their skills current. The program will grow to include other eLearning modules directed towards the general public and improving bystander CPR. By generating more interest in CPR programs, ECC will be able to reach a whole new set of students, and we will have an even greater opportunity to teach lifesaving skills.
Adhering to the highest standards for skills competence.
Some modules, such as Learn Rhythm — Adult and Stroke Prehospital Care, involve strictly cognitive learning and can be taken as eLearning modules on our website. Other programs require additional skills practice and skills testing. These need to be scheduled with a certified AHA instructor, an interactive or automated manikin, or a manikin system that provides real-time feedback and evaluation.
An AHA CPR course always includes two parts. Part 1, which is the cognitive part, can be completed on our website if the student prefers. Part 2, which has the psychomotor skills component, involves an AHA instructor, a manikin system and is conducted in a training center environment at your location or ours.
